I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Economics at the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University. My advisor is Professor Garth Heutel.

My research uses instrumental variables and difference-in-differences designs to study how environmental exposures and policy changes affect health outcomes and economic wellbeing. A central focus of my work is identifying which populations bear the largest costs of pollution and regulatory change.

My job market paper estimates the causal effect of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) on cardiovascular mortality in the U.S. using thermal inversions as an instrument. Other projects examine the health consequences of smoking, the effects of air pollution on early childhood childcare attendance, and the economic burdens of abortion access restrictions.
